Moses was all by himself tending to the sheep at the back of the desert. His profession was a shepherd, and here he was doing his job. As he was occupied tending to the sheep, probably in a place where there was intense heat, lack of precipitation and lack of abundance of vegetation, he clearly heard a voice. It was the voice of God calling his name. I’m not sure what season you are in, and whether you feel you are in a similar place to Moses. I want to reassure you that God knows your name. Not only does He know your name, He knows your history, present, and your future. God calling your name can be for so many different reasons. Is God calling you to a destiny that you are yet to fulfill?

Prayer: Thank you God that you know our name. Thank you that You have a plan and purpose for each one of us. “Plans to prosper us, not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Be encouraged,
