Ladies, have you ever experienced God opening a door for you? It’s amazing how we can pray Psalm 37:23 – “The steps of a righteous man are ordered by the Lord…” for a particular area of our lives, and then some time later, we see that prayer answered.
I want to encourage those of you who may think that you’ve applied for a certain position or job, or are trying to get your foot in the door at a particular company, etc. and you are not seeing the answer you desire. Doors are closed. No returned phone calls to say that you’ve gotten the job. Sometimes you may get to the next step and have an interview, and then, someone else is chosen. On the other hand, sometimes, you may not even get called for the interview.
How can we interpret all of this?
I was quiet before the Lord, and I heard Him say to me, “Man doesn’t direct your steps.” When we look at the circumstance or situation through our physical eyes, it seems like man is directing our steps based on the responses or lack thereof for what we are believing for. Ladies, I want to encourage you with those same words, “Man doesn’t direct your steps.” “Your steps are ordered by the Lord” according to Psalm 37:23.
3 Nuggets to Remember:
- Faith in action. Remember to do your part. That may mean applying for a job, editing your resume, networking, seizing opportunities to grow in skill and knowledge, reading about certain topics to improve yourself and increase in knowledge, etc.
2. Timing. We can’t control that. Can we surrender our fight and trust in God peacefully? In God’s time, He makes all things beautiful. Ecclesiastes 3:11.
3. Trust God. Be still before God. Ask Him what He’s doing in your life right now? Are there particular areas that He is pruning in you? Is He refining you? Is He preparing you for the upcoming season? Proverbs 3:5, 6. John 15:2.
Be strengthened and encouraged my sister. God is ordering your steps. Your time is coming.
Blessings.
Be encouraged,
Aisha Nixon
Wow, I needed this tonight. My spirit feels tossed and tired. I feel confused about my direction and lost. This is certainly a good reminder for me.
Hi Natalie,
I’m glad that it was a timely word. Take time and meditate on Proverbs 3:5-6. I pray that your soul will be encouraged, refreshed, and restored.
