Have you ever felt forgotten? I know I have. When I felt forgotten, a whole bunch of other feelings joined company: lonely, overlooked, sad, not enough, and frustrated.

There are various reasons for feeling forgotten. It may be related to relationships, business and/or work, promotion, position, family, and/or health. The thing is we can choose to camp there, or choose to change our mindset, live in God’s truth, live by faith and keep moving forward.

In the Bible, Sarah, Hannah, Elizabeth  may have felt forgotten. They were in a long season of infertility. Also, David may have felt forgotten, as his dad, Jesse, purposefully didn’t call him when Samuel, a prophet, came to anoint one of Jesse’s sons as king. If you read their stories, you will see that God did not forget them. The barren women’s prayers were heard, and their deepest hearts’ desires were fulfilled. The purpose God destined for David’s life was fulfilled. Each of these women gave birth. And for David, he became king over Israel.

For all of these people, it was about God’s timing. God knows when. He knows your when. God has heard your prayers. He has seen your tears. You are not forgotten.

Let’s change our mindset, and live in God’s truth:

  • Hebrews 13:5
  • Isaiah 44:21
  • Deuteronomy 31:6

It’s a daily choice. One that you have to make. What do you choose today? What do you believe to be true?

The promises of God are true. Live by faith.
